On Sunday, October 15th, Rocking the Road For a Cure’s 8th Annual Motorcycle Run participants fueled the organization’s mission to rebuild the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of Breast Cancer patients in Queens and Long Island. The Motorcycle Run helped generate much-needed funds to enable the free ongoing wellness programs for the patients.
In the morning, riders and passengers journeyed 80 scenic miles from Alley Pond Park, Queens Village, through parts of Nassau and Suffolk County, to the Meadowlands Sports Bar and Restaurant in East Meadow for an after party. The after party included four live rock bands, an acoustic act, a live DJ, food, raffles, vendors, bike trophies and awards.
As a grassroots non-profit organization, Rocking The Road For A Cure’s services and fundraising events rely on the generous contribution of police departments, grantors, sponsors, businesses, donors, and volunteers in our community. RTRFAC extends a huge thank you to the riders, passengers, various motorcycle clubs, volunteers, the bands, and party-goers for making this event memorable and beneficial to their breast cancer clients.
