“Our family relocated to New York in September 2012 in order to assist our daughter and her newborn baby while she underwent treatment. Having to move the entire family to New York was an ordeal. However knowing that your organization was ready to assist us in our endeavors was a great comfort to us and our daughter. Going through cancer treatments is enough of an ordeal without having to think who is going to help us and her child. The counseling you provided such as; funds for wigs, housing, and parking information while undergoing treatments was extremely helpful.” ”The counselor you sent evaluated our situation and provided us with the necessary help we needed to care for our daughter and her now 8 month old son. The home aide was wonderful. She helped by cleaning, doing laundry, shopping and provided child care when needed. She was very professional and dedicated to her work. Organizations such as yours that provide wellness programs, educational information and support services are indispensable. Your organization provides hope for those patients battling cancer, and should receive full support and funding from our government.”

“The service was excellent. I got to know about Rocking The Road For A Cure through Full Circle Physical Therapy, when I told them about my trouble getting back and forth to the hospital for my radiation therapy. Access-A-Ride wouldn’t take me to the hospital in Long Island, so I called Rocking The Road For A Cure. The same day I called, the case manager listened to my situation. That same night, she visited me and checked my status. She was very friendly and I felt like she was one of my family members. Within a week or two, she arranged taxi service to and from the hospital. I never expected that so quickly! I am so glad to refer your organization to others. I have to say this particularly: The people who return the calls are so polite and nice. God bless all of them. Thank you.”

“My experience was good. The staff was courteous and kind and their willingness to make me feel better was extraordinary. The housekeeping service was spotless. I would recommend Rocking The Road For A Cure because the staff have a big heart and love people who are sick. They try to make me feel better even on those days when I did not feel good.”

“The wig you arranged for me to receive during my treatment for breast cancer was very beautiful. I really felt great each time I wore it. I was really surprised how emotionally bereft I felt without my hair. A special thank you to your organization…I know that you work very hard raising funds for this worthy cause.”

“So there I was in the middle of a blizzard, wondering if I could spend extra money on another night of lodging after my treatment. And you called. Thank you SO very much for reaching out to help me and anticipating what I really needed. Your call took such a weight off of us. And thank you, also, for all of your care with my case. Talking with you was wonderful. You are an understanding soul. You are making a big difference in this world.”
Note: Rocking The Road For A Cure covered the cost of lodging in Manhattan when a patient was stranded in a blizzard after treatment.
