• 1 In 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition The organization promotes awareness of breast cancer through classes and workshops, outreach, advocacy  and direct support of research. This coalition is also in charge of The Hewlett House in Hewlett, Long Island. The Hewlett House’s is goal is to provide patients and their families a free, warm and welcoming place to obtain resources and education and a safe haven for those whose lives have been by touched by cancer.
• Adelphi University Breast Cancer Hotline. This is  a statewide hotline that provides information, referrals and emotional support for people with questions about breast cancer. Operates seven days a week; staffed by trained volunteers, many of whom are breast cancer survivors.
• Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition provides support and referral services to breast and gynecological cancer and their families.
• Beauty For A Cure: Beauty For A Cure was established to obtain the resources to help with funding for non-profit organizations help Long Island women diagnosed with Breast Cancer. They do so by holding various fundraisers throughout the year by working with various charities, breast cancer coalitions and sponsors across Long Island.
• Breast Cancer Help: Breast Cancer Help is a not-for-profit grassroots organization committed to being a resource for information, advocacy, and support in the fight against cancer on Long Island, New York.
• Breast Cancer Freebies The organization provides information on ways to get free or low-cost resources and tools for men and women with breast cancer and their loved ones. This includes, mammograms, wigs, personal care, prosthetics, support lines, fitness, transportation, medication and so much more.
• Brentwood/Bay Shore Breast Cancer Coalition/Latina Breast Cancer Support GroupThis group focuses on the cause of breast cancer, the need for prevention, monitoring, informed treatment and accessibility of health care. It primarily serves as a community resource for Brentwood/Bayshore residents confronted with breast cancer.
• Colon Cancer Support: Information provided by the New York City Department of Health, this site provides support groups and resources for learning about, risk reduction for, prevention for, and other resources for colon cancer.
• Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Center at the Stony Brook Hospital and Medical Center.
• Huntington Breast Cancer Coalition serves as a community resource for Huntington residents confronted with breast cancer. They provide  education, prevention, precaution and program resources.
•  Islip Breast Cancer Coalition serves as a community resource for Islip Town residents confronted with breast cancer.
• Lucia’s Angels This foundation is committed to helping women and families of Eastern Long Island with late-stage women’s cancers including breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer and uterine cancer. It provides both personal/individual services as well as family services.
• Mid-Hudson Breast Cancer Options This is an independent non-profit and largest provider of breast cancer services in the Hudson Valley. They provide resources and information, advocacy and support services for those affected by Breast Cancer.
• Mile of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation: The Mile of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation services and outreach for people affected by breast cancer within the 8 counties of the Hudson Valley in New York. The organization also holds many fundraising events throughout the year that are used to support Breast Cancer support programs in the Hudson Valley and have many funded programs, scholarships and grants.
• North Fork Breast Health Coalition  This coalition is working to encourage and assist in the prevention, early intervention, and cure of breast cancer through advocacy, awareness, networking, and research. The funds it raises go directly to programs such as “Lend a Helping Hand”,which provides grants to patients on the North Fork who are being treated for breast cancer.
• United Breast Caner Foundation: The United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) is headquartered in Huntington Station, NY,  serving men, women and their families throughout the country. UBCF’s clientele is mostly women ages 30-65, low-income and under- or non- insured. UBCF provides the community seven unique, life-supporting patient and family programs.
• West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition serves as a community resource for West Islip residents confronted with breast cancer and is one of the leading advocate for breast cancer awareness, programs and resources in Suffolk County.

State

• Breast Cancer and Environmental Factors Provided through Cornell University’s program on Breast Cancer and Environmental factors, this site provides learning and research resources on the link between breast cancer and the environment through fact sheets, videos, information about the scientific technique of biomonitoring, environmental monitoring and more
• Gilda’s Club. A free emotional and social support community based in Rochester, NY for people with cancer and their families and friends. Sponsors workshops, lectures, support groups, and social events; local branches listed on their website
• New York State Cancer Surveillance Improvement Initiative: The Cancer Surveillance Improvement Initiative (CSII) began in 1998. It is designed to answer questions of many New Yorkers about the cancer incidence in their communities. It provides data tables and maps of cancer incidence. CSII also provides information on cancer, its possible causes and how to interpret cancer data and graphs.
•  The New York State Department of Health Cancer Services Program. Oversees programs in every county and borough in NYS that: offer breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening and diagnostic testing for eligible, uninsured and underinsured New Yorkers. They also offer assistance enrolling in the NYS Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program providing coverage for eligible people diagnosed with breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancer.
• New York State Prostate Cancer Coalition: This nonprofit organization, composed of prostate cancer survivors and their families and friends, doctors, social workers, and other stakeholders, focuses on screening, research funding, education and awareness, and improved access to clinical trails.

National

• American Cancer Society: The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service. Local chapters are listed in the white pages of your telephone book and may be found on the ACS website. Provides free information and emotional support from trained volunteers anytime before, during, or after treatment.
• American Italian Cancer Foundation The American-Italian Cancer Foundation (AICF) is a New York-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports cancer research, education, and control.
• Association of Cancer Online Resources Their website serves as a resource for people with cancer who wishes to find others with same diagnosis. Offer e-mail messages on news and treatment protocols.
• Breastcancer.org An online nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive information on breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and day-to-day matters that affect the lives of breast cancer survivors.
• The Breast Cancer Fund The Breast Cancer Fund is dedicated to connecting the dots between breast cancer and exposures to chemicals and radiation from our every day environments by translating scientific evidence of this into public education and advocacy campaigns. The Fund provides facts from scientific research, tips for prevention and reducing your risk, and ways to create a solution for the problems with the chemicals in our environment.
• Bright Pink Bright Pink is the only national non-profit organization focusing on the risk reduction and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer uniquely in young women while providing support for high-risk individuals. The organization also provides educational, financial and legal literature, booklet series, counselor and peer support and workshops.
• CancerCare CancerCare is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide free professional help to people with all cancers through counseling, education, information and referral, and direct financial assistance.
• CancerNet. Cancer information from the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Provides comprehensive information for anyone with a question about cancer, for patients, caregivers, health care professionals, researchers, and others.
• Cancer Hope Network. Provides free one-on-one support for cancer patients and their families by volunteers who have been through the cancer experience
• Cancer and Careers. An on-line resource for women returning to work after cancer treatment.
• Cancer Survivors Network. A web-based social network for cancer survivors, their families, caregivers, and friends where members can share experiences and learn about services
• The Celebrating Life Foundation The Foundation promotes breast cancer awareness for African American women and women of color through survivor stories, message board community, resources, events, publications and more
• Center for Alternative Medicine ResearchUniversity of Texas, Center for Alternative Medical Research dedicated to investigating the effectiveness of alternative/complementary therapies for cancer prevention and control.

• Cure Mommy: CURE MOMMY’s BREAST CANCER is a non-profit charitable organization, formed in 2000. Our sole purpose is to provide financial assistance, moral support, and educational information to any man, woman or child in need of assistance while suffering the burdens of this disease as well as other forms of cancer
• Dr. Susan Love: A website for women. She discusses decision making, living with breast cancer, taking charge of your health, personal guidance (a chance to ask her questions).
• HER2 Support Group HER2 Support is an informational and online community connecting family, newly diagnosed, diagnosed and long term survivors. Her2 Support also provides information on clinical trials, financial and legal resources, nutritional resources and other recommended links.
• Inflammatory Breast Cancer: IBC Research Foundation IBC Research Foundation is dedicated to researching the cause of Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), an advanced and accelerated form of breast cancer usually not detected by mammograms and ultrasounds. They assist scientists and researchers to determine the definitive causes of IBC in order to find effective and meaningful detection and diagnosis, prevention and treatment. • Living Beyond Breast Cancer: Living Beyond Breast Cancer is a national education and support organization whose goal is to connect people with trusted breast cancer information and a community of support, regardless of educational background, social support or financial means. They offer programs to women affected by breast cancer, caregivers and healthcare providers.

• Malecare: Men Fighting Cancer, Together.: Malecare is an international nonprofit that develops practical, life-saving programs to address the problem of men dying sooner than women.
